Artist Statement

Katherine is a multi-disciplinary designer, predominantly working in Graphic and Textile Design. She has a love for the hand-made and likes to explore how manual processes such as drawing and sewing can be used alongside computer generated design. She enjoys working with colour, typography, illustration, patterns and layouts. Her work often contains hidden or unexpected elements designed to surprise the viewer, a sense of playfulness and an awareness for environmental issues.

In 2011 Katherine spent 4 months as a Graphic Design Intern in Augsburg, Germany. She is interested in further professional opportunities to continue developing as a designer.
