Artist Statement

A passion for something doesn’t ‘grow’ out of anywhere. My work is a realization of where my infatuation with flowers and nature ‘stems’ from. Through the intimacy I have with my dear Mimmie (Nan), I have developed an intimacy with nature. I explore my ‘roots’ and document the magical experience one can share with flowers. The scent, touch, and look of a flower can transport your mind to euphoric wonderlands, escaping the demands of life. I document a wonderful lady, in her sanctuary, discovering how a shared love can ‘blossom’ into something truly life changing.
