Artist Statement

As an immigrant living in this multicultural country, I am interested in the result of different cultures influencing and relating to each other; I believe that art forms such as visual arts, dance and music can act as the bridge between cultures, and art can be seen as a universal language.

My current practice attempts to create an aesthetic link between cultures, and explores the balance and connection between Chinese and Western styles, as well as traditional and modern elements. During exploration of the aesthetic links, my figurative work became abstract exploration of dance and music.
