Artist Statement

My work is nourished by personal experience and draws upon imagery from my memories to construct a narrative within my paintings. I evaluate my uncertainties, my errors, my triumphs, all typical of the human condition.

In my Honours year, my focus has been on my cultural heritage and I have examined Filipino history and culture to inform my work. Through my work, I have found resolve to my bi-culturality of being both Australian and Filipino.
