Artist Statement

My work is concerned with challenging traditional applications of textiles – allowing surfaces to transform space and functionality. I thrive on adapting concept into realised design outcomes; engaging my inherent understanding of how to ‘make things’ through problem solving, material knowledge and manipulation skills.

Having utilized five years of tertiary study to improve these skills and harness opportunities, I have studied under three schools, including internationally at the Willem de Kooning Academy, Rotterdam.

My diverse skill base has allowed me to work throughout the creative industry; approaching graphic, interior, spatial and costume design, with earnestness and passion.
