In this series, symbolic play is directed at disturbance where objects are used to interpret something they don’t usually mean.

Feelings of disquiet are placed onto the objects on display, as an explanation of the lived experiences of suffering as shaped by the language and the silences that surround it. The evidence (dolls) represents unspecific trauma, what caused this,is left to the viewer’s own interpretation. These meaning bearing surfaces allude to vulnerability, as objects they can absorb and project feelings of unease and disquiet. A trace of human presence is implied, broken, ruptured, and scarred
