Artist Statement

I am interested in the value and perception of preciousness in contemporary jewellery. With this work I have explored the natural environment and its precious dwindling resources that are often overlooked at the point of consumption.

This series serves as memento mori for the natural world, a reminder to heed one’s actions and the impact that they make on a world that is fast disappearing.
