Artist Statement

Born 1991 in Sydney, Australia and having grown up in a family of medical practitioners, the theme of the human body is of central focus among my artistic practice, whether its presence is literal or symbolic through the incorporation of materials reminiscent of bodily features. The concept of protection, imagery of armor and extensions of the body play a significant role in the realization of my sculptures and installations. Fundamental to many of my artworks is the dialogue created with the interaction of readymade and handmade pieces, contrasting seemingly unrelated medium to form.
