Artist Statement

Georgia Fanning is a Sydney based artist. Her work concerns the photographs ability to illustrate conflicting notions of presence/absence. In her most recent project, she has worked exclusively with the family photograph, recreating its image with her fingerprint in an attempt to create a physical connection between past and present.
