Artist Statement

My work over the last few years as a print maker I have experimented with many different mediums in the attempt to find a form of combining mediums that complement each other and old photographs, letters from family and emotionally symbolic objects that are evocative of the fragility of fading memories, I create works reminiscent of my parent’s home country Colombia and depict my personal experiences, from my experience of growing up in Australia I have found the youth to have disregard for their heritage. I wish to reflect on by past and pay respects to my heritage.
