Artist Statement

As a passionate educator, I am interested in using art, design and technology to create innovative and engaging learning environments. I believe school classrooms need to be aesthetically designed to trigger positive emotional attachments to a space, in order for students to visually recall and recognise information.

Nature and surrounding environments, are a significant source of inspiration and motivation for my designs, as I am inspired by their unique and unpredictable characteristics. Shifting towards more sustainable materials is always a focus, while giving new life to objects and turning waste into opportunity inspires me creatively.

Skills

• Graphic Design
  Graphics for published, printed or electronic media, including: logo design, corporate branding and marketing; graphics for t-shirts/ uniforms; stationary and print collateral design; invitation design; photo editing, enhancing and retouching.
• Textile Design
  The creation of 2D and 3D designs to be used as one off designs or a repeat design for a range of wallpaper and fabric applications, including though not limited to: interior upholstery, soft furnishings, carpets and fabrics for clothing.
