Artist Statement
I have been interested for some time now in tactility, in particular that which paint offers. My work attempts to challenge conventional dimensionality through abstract forms. The process of layering, pouring and peeling has become a compulsion of mine; many of my previous works deal with the deconstruction and reduction of painting. I have explored the relationship between two and three dimensionality in my paintings, and currently I am extending this enquiry to paper and drawings, through collage. Paint and drawing mediums provide measureless options, it is the sculpturality of these that continues to interest to me.
