Artist Statement

The White Horse Hotel established since 1922, and
restored in 2004, serves contemporary
food, drinks and music, and is popular for functions.
On the rooftop of the building, a horse sculpture with bright colourful lighting, gives the clearest indication of the thinking behind
the scheme. Everything stemmed from this white horse: the point of connection.
Exploring the idea of people’s connectivity with each other, my aim was
to redesign the interior of the White Horse Hotel with furnishings for
better user’s experience. “Bringing in the crowd was important, as one
person brings in another.”
