Artist Statement

My work has always been focused on the surreal; the fairytale, the romance and the trolls. Often inspired by Swedish storybooks. I was born and completed University in Australia but grew up in Barbados. I’m fascinated by and spend every chance I get in the Ocean. This is where I feel most at home and most inspired and I try to reflect this emotion in my work. I prefer to let the concepts and material speak for themselves; the works are subjective. Though there is a narrative that can be gleaned essentially it is up to the individual interpretation.

• 2006 - Marsden High School HSC Award for Achievement in ART, Business Studies, Society and Culture as well as awards for coming First in class in both year 11 and 12 in these classes.
• 2006 - Honours in Swedish HSC for NSW, Australia
• 2005 - NIFCA award - Barbados
