Artist Statement

My artistic practice involves sculpture, performance and installation, and questions the desire for stability in a world that is constantly transforming. My three-dimensional work is inherently structural yet precarious, and reflects upon the fragility of the urban environment and the volatility of the natural environments. Recently I have been exploring the idea of architectural forms and landscapes that are ambiguous in scale. These ‘landscapes’ attempt to collapse the distance between a utopian and dystopian perspective and ultimately question the tension that results from the quest for equilibrium in the midst of unstable times.
