Artist Statement

I am Lauren Monique. I construct fragile little paper sculptures, abstract them through photography, and then create delicate little drawings. I make it all clean and white, cleansing myself after personal trauma, giving my viewers a piece of myself. This body of work will allow my viewers into my small constructed world of innocence and aim to provide them with an outlet in which to ponder their own.
