Artist Statement

I am an experimental printmaker using techniques such as etching dry point and colla graphs .I also have an passion for painting .I am influenced by Baroque, Victorian and Italian renaissance art .But at the same time admire contemporary conceptual art. Painting and printmaking in a way represents my character .When I paint I can become completely absorbed in myself ,letting go of control. Though when I am printmaking and etching especially I am expressing myself through a more technically controlled thought process. I have an interest in archaeology history and philosophy.
