Artist Statement

The concept of my work is to explore diverse relationships held between people, the built environment and natural environment. This idea has been drawn from my own personal experience of the transition from a small, coastal town in northern New South Wales to the urban city life- Sydney.
The paintings are reflective of the convergence of these varied environments, from my eyes, and portray the powerful pull of both environments and the difficulties faced in finding balance or the perfect landscape to call my own.
