Artist Statement

* BFA (2011)
Working solely in the analogue realm of black and white photography, Mitchell has been experimenting with the medium since finding the digital process a lackluster substitute. Mitchell has focused on photographing Sydney’s inner city environment, its strangers and the encounters that evolve. His use of photography is based in traditional methods however maintains a superior quality amidst the digital sea of images.
