Artist Statement

My sculptural practice is heavily influenced by my surroundings, particularly the plants, seedpods and shells native to Australia. The unique shapes and patterns of these forms provide me with inspiration for my work as I emulate, exaggerate and transform their natural structures.

By combining natural and industrial materials such as wood, copper sheet, ceramics and galvanized wire I aim to highlight the beauty of our native flora and its ability to withstand the harsh elements of the Australian climate.
