Artist Statement

Art is a constructed interface between us and the world. My practice is about exploring and collecting information which I then process visually. The act of selecting, categorizing and editing in turn mirrors my everyday handling of the surrounding environment. I am particularly interested in the intimacy of touch and in the evocative language of visual mediums. The blurring between process, performance and product is a basis for much of my work. An interest in minimalism has also shaped they way I consider the relationship between images and objects – between the thing, the drawing, the art, the possession.
