Artist Statement

I enjoy finding the humour in our day to day lives. I am interested in documenting people’s stories and am driven to make humorous work that feels distinctly Australian. I am interested in combining these elements to create entertaining work that looks at this idea of suburban small-time big-time. The stories and experiences of the people around me inspire me to create works that are not too far removed from reality because I have found that the best humour often needs a sense of authenticity to connect with an audience.
