Artist Statement

The abject at the site of the body – the wound, disease, and the corpse – has been an interest of mine from youth. A fascination with the flesh and the limits of physical boundaries drive my artistic practice. My Honours project ‘Shattering the solid objective being’ is an exploration into the penetration and shattering of our physical boundaries through our wound culture – the public representations of violated bodies and personas, and our collective interest around shock, trauma and the wound.
