Artist Statement

* (2011)
Working primarily with concepts of absence, loss and the intimacy of family and cultural histories, much of my work explores the notion of removal. A fascination with the inaccessibility of history and the past; particularly within Australia, informs much of my practice. Whether operating through the mediums of painting, drawing, installation or performance, my work is often injected with a sense of loss and a search for knowledge or identity.
