Artist Statement

Reality is over-rated.

Art can offer us an escape from our society of routine and regulation to experience something new. I want to create an experience. I want the audience to see, hear and feel (both physically and emotionally) my painting. I want them to become entranced by my fantastical world and temporarily lose themselves.

Beneath the ceiling of my immersive painting (literally a room made of five canvases each 2.4 × 2.4 metres) the audience will be able to disconnect themselves momentarily from our fast-paced society and let self reflection take hold.
