Artist Statement
I aim to create work that challenges the audience’s view towards social, political and cultural issues. My work mostly deals with the deconstruction of our “perfect” world, and questions our role as humans.
Although I am interested in a wide range of issues, my more recent works depict my Coptic (native Egyptian) heritage; I aim to convey the brutal and inhumane treatment of the Coptic people in Egypt.
I am interested by ceramics as a means of expression and aspire to create body of works that are thought provoking and at times confrontational.
