Artist Statement

The idea of the liminal refers us to a state of being “betwixt and between” and something associated with the temporal. It applies to change, transition and transformation; conditions that are conductive to a sense of impermanence. The coastline characterises a liminal place were ambiguity and questioning in response to the aesthetic beauty of nature is my definitive aspiration. It can be distinguished as a symbol of the edge, within it lies a sense of return and endlessness, of liminality and transcendence.
