Artist Statement

“Memory then, is not so much a part of our selves, rather it is the greater part of the stuff we are made of: our biographies, our recollections, our imaginings and even our personalities”. Rita Carter ‘Mapping the Mind’.

‘Seeing Red’ is an autobiographical work about memory, loss and the influence of colour on memory.
