Artist Statement

I am aware of where my body ends and where another body begins. If I’m sitting on a train, I know my arm ends at my fingertips and I know where my knee is so I rest it there and not on the knee of the person sitting next to me. What happens if I cut myself? The skin that separates my insides from the outside is torn open and what is contained inside my body leaks and threatens to contaminate another.
