Nicola is a textile artist who works with techniques generally considered ‘traditional’ to the field of textiles. Materials such as thread and cloth frequent her work through the use of various techniques. Within her practice she often explores new materials but the foundations of her work often begin within the sphere of textiles. Her works are highly focused on aesthetics, however still being complemented with concepts relating to memories, people and the presence of craft in the broader sphere of art.
