The COFA Annual 2013

My geometric paintings reflect an interest in colour, clarity and mindfulness. I incorporate universal symbols, such as the circle and square, to explore concepts relating to cosmology & mysticism. Our atmosphere, the universe and especially the endless combination of atoms that make up everything we are and see, enthrall me. Layering is an important part of my practice. Each individual colour is comprised of numerous meticulous layers of Watercolour, creating depth while maintaining luminosity. The paper itself is also layered, with windows cut into most surface paintings to reveal a different view, or World, below.
