'Spotlight: Feminism and Film' aptly exemplifies how Athina dissects gendered representation in dominant Western cultures through their work. This project delves into an analysis of the film and television industry and enabled Athina to marry her personal interest in popular culture with her design work, demonstrating how her practice is informed by her voice and personhood. Athina is inspired by the vast possibilities of design, and is driven to expand her technical skillset, venturing into motion design and 3D visualisation.

Athina Mathioudakis is a graphic and UX designer who is interested in the ways design can influence and interact with audiences. Her interdisciplinary practice synthesises graphics and interaction to explore theoretical concepts informed by her passion for feminism. The construction of gender is a recurring theme in her work, articulated here with her graduation project.
