Ben Reid's expanded image-based practice employs painting, moving image and CGI to examine how computer generated imagery can falsify and problematise notions of photographic truth. By crafting computer generated facsimiles of aestheticised, sculptural objects/arrangements, CGI’s photographic verisimilitude poses important questions about the presumption of ‘truth’ in photographic works; a pertinent question in the era of AI image making.
