Gen-Zero: Threads of Tomorrow, 2023
Gen-Zero represents a paradigm shift in fashion sustainability, employing a unique blend of physical labels and a sophisticated app system. This initiative empowers consumers with comprehensive insights into garment composition and ethical production practices. Engaging stakeholders from designers to influencers, through Augmented Reality, social media and point-of-sale interactions, it catalyses a collective effort towards achieving UN SDG Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production. This Australian-based project illuminates the potential to revolutionise the fashion industry, underscoring the urgency of reducing environmental impact and creating a legacy of conscientious consumption for future generations.
As a stylist, Carol possesses over twenty years of experience in fashion, editorial and commercial styling, working with private clientele plus Australia's top photographers, models, and high-profile personalities for major publications and television networks. Having completed studies in journalism and fashion design in Sydney, Carol established herself in print media as a beauty and fashion editor landing the plum role of producing and styling covers and shoots for The Sydney Morning Herald. More recently, she was the resident Style Lecturer at The Whitehouse Institute of Design in Sydney.
In 2019, Carol was appointed Style Director of The Queen Victoria Building in Sydney validating her ability and credibility as one of the most sought-after personal stylists in the industry.
To further her knowledge in design-led innovation across multiple disciplinary, Carol is currently studying Master of Design at UNSW.
