Snow Wear Re-Wrapped, 2022
repurposed ski jackets and pants, thread, and elastic
Snow Wear Re-Wrapped is a project that considers using waste as a resource. It focuses on reclaiming discarded snowwear to create a protective snowboard bag. The project tackles the two issues of textile waste within the snow sports industry and the lack of accessible protective snowboard bags during transportation to and from the snow slopes. The project as a whole, focuses on contributing towards the circular economy within the snow sports industry.
As an emerging designer-maker, Ciara O’Reilly seeks to employ a multidisciplinary approach towards overcoming real-world issues with purposeful designs.
