'Chivalry Is Dead' is a satirical discursive design piece exploring the detrimental death of chivalry in the contemporary Western world and confronting extreme feminist ideologies as its killer.
This piece is an ironic work that plays on the scenario of a man, chivalrously offering his suit coat jacket to a woman. The woman, however, despite being clearly cold, is enraged at his gesture and responds scoldingly by burning the coat. The scenario represented in this piece is not one that is uncommon in our modern-day society. Extreme feminist ideologies are often to blame as women callously refuse to accept courteousness from men, falsely perceiving it as patronization, and moreover hindering men from continuing their chivalrous duties. The negative implications of this loss have been portrayed through the apparent misery of the cold and unhappy woman.
