Yendor is an augmented-reality app that projects children’s attention outwards at the world around them. It is too often that we see young children obsessed over short-form video content which has been proven to have detrimental effects on their mental and physical health. To combat this, Yendor recaptures the magic of the 1980 fantasy video game Rogue, a game so influential it spawned an entire genre called the ‘Rogue-like’.
Guy Briggs is set to graduate as an interaction designer in 2023, and has been making video games for the last 8 years. He is passionate about education, emerging technologies and loves to play Rogue, the game that all rogue-likes are like.
