Tales of Tanka, 2023

Tales of Tanka aims to preserve the endangered Tanka language of an ethnic group traditionally belonging to inhabitants of fishing and boat-living peoples in the Southern regions of China, including Hong Kong and Macau. Through an interactive billboard based public campaign, Tales of Tanka subscribes to UN SDG 4: Quality Education, ensuring education is accessible, culturally relevant and respecful of the linguistic diversity of communities.

Ellen Wen is a dynamic and passionate graphic designer currently pursuing her Master of Design degree at the prestigious University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, Australia. With a keen eye for detail and a creative spirit, Ellen is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of visual communication.
