This is a cryptic confession note. The wish that unrecognized by society, the unfinished desire, the struggle of void, the unsatisfied gain and loss and some subtle delight containing in unimportant doubts all can be found and reflected in each narrative, metaphorically expressed through characters.
Scenes for narratives are refer to some places of the original city, Fuzhou. However, the insights of living that affects by natural instinct and human desire, expressing through a not documented cultural pattern is not rigid.
As a graduate student of Fine Arts, the artist is interested in expressing narratives and retelling traditional culture with digital illustrations.
By exploring individual spiritual world, human instinct and desire with original characters and stories, the artist is trying to discover herself with symbolism, metaphors and hidden questions with no answers. Some illustrations are appeared to be absurd with darkness which might resonate to her own mental problems.
This is the way that the artist re-construct the traditional Chinese background with folklore as references into some introverted self-dignity.
