'The Sentient Object' is a table lamp sculpture that heroes materiality. It is an expression of life beyond existence, the life that prevails through the manifestation of another being. My work reflects the desire for transient objects in a society that values durability by inserting life into an object, giving it the power to die without leaving any disruptive trace of its existence in the environment. 'The Sentient Object' overall captures the process of decay, depicting a melting plastic-like form being gently overtaken by fungi, envisioning the harmonious coexistence between material objects and nature's cycle of life.
