My work explores archives of psychoanalysis to unearth the ethnographic and phallocentric nature of Western ideals of masculinity, femininity, and desire. In response to letters exchanged between Sigmund Freud and the Indian Psychoanalytic Society during the interwar years of 1921-1937 I materialise playful alternate world views from displaced South Asian objects in my possession that I recast in the medium of wax.
