Caitlin Erin Lewis

I am an emerging textile designer and aspiring academic currently based on Darkinjung Land (Central Coast, NSW). Key concepts in my work include emotions, human experiences, and relationships. As an emerging practice-led researcher, I enjoy the hands-on nature of textile practice in parallel with design theory, especially speculative design and design fiction. My works facilitate audience-artefact interaction to encourage discussion and reflection. My works often layer multiple techniques and materials to intentionally embody meaning. I have a Bachelor of Design (Honours) majoring in textiles and ceramics, and am completing my Master of Design focusing on textiles, material thinking, future making.
