Casey Gallagher Silver

I use my practice to connect with my audience through shared experiences and process my emotions surrounding the concepts I work with. I work frequently with themes of identity, memory and childhood which often overlap in my life as a lesbian raised by lesbians.
As a sculptor, I love to play with the psychology of our attachments to objects and how challenging what we associate with objects can evoke emotions.
My work in this show connects with several aspects of my practice as I share my community with the audience through objects that they feel connect to their identities.
