Memories are crucial to our response and construction of the world around us, however when living within an urbanised environment where various overwhelming stimuli surround you, the intensity of life can evolve into blurred moments. My work 'Peripheral Memories' explores memories that often become forgotten or blurred, specifically those located within moments of intensity within my everyday life. Using the process of bleaching and stitching these memories are distorted further and then pieced back together to create a new entity. This work highlights the unreliability of memories and their ephemerality which is heightened through the continued intensity of everyday life.
