I am a textile and object designer who explores how handmade objects preserve memories, tell stories and gain meaning over time. My work 'Future Heirlooms', transforms fleeting personal experiences into lasting, handcrafted artefacts through a series of story quilts using vintage linens and hand-dyed fabric.
I am deeply connected to the sewing skills taught by my female relatives and aims to challenge the trivialisation of such crafts as "women's works". My final collection addresses themes of female identity, domesticity and gender norms. These quilts, serving as time capsules, encapsulate personal reflections and emotions, destined to become enduring heirlooms.
