Ginger Siri

I am a Thai-Australian artist, focusing on mythology, folklore and cross-historical narratives within contemporary life. My passion for both Thai folktales and Japanese artistry, I reinterpret ancient myths and legends, exploring their relevance and transformation in today's world. By juxtaposing traditional stories with modern experiences, my art uncovers the enduring power of these tales to shape identities and communities. Through a blend of lino-print, patterned fabrics and painting, my practice invites viewers to reflect on the connections between past and present, tradition and innovation, creating a space where old narratives find new resonance.
