Jess Curran

My multi-disciplinary practice investigates shame and the self through crafting processes. I merge textile and painting to explore themes of health, gender, and empowerment. My work challenges fat-phobic narratives and brings visibility to invisible pains, aiming to re-empower individuals by reclaiming bodily autonomy and questioning misguided understandings of health.
