How can we help people understand and create beautiful data visualisations? I sought to answer this question through my work VISUAD, a website dedicated to simplifying the data analysis and visualisation process in order to help regular people create accurate and diverse charts. Users can create basic questionnaires and forms, and VISUAD will transform the datasets into an appropriate and meaningful visualisation. VISUAD aims to be a cost-effective alternative to expensive software subscriptions - accessible to students, educators, individuals and small businesses. The first step towards data democratisation is to empower our community by reducing barriers to understanding and accessibility.
