My practice engages methods of observation, of noticing, to generate characters and story from my own epiphanies, experiences and interactions. As a methodology, I am reappropriating storyboarding from the fordist animation pipeline, using sticky notes to frame moments that may otherwise be treated as fleeting and insignificant, simulating an experience of pausing, observing and ruminating for an audience. The name “HIVE” encapsulates the interconnectedness of my stories, the attention paid to what is "small" and overlooked, and an allusion to the “hive mind” I wish to cultivate through stories that resonate with others.
