'Within the Rings' transforms the iconic circus narrative into a board game where players role-play as circus crew members and engage in a transformative journey of identity. It explores the boundary between humans and animals and the impact of this definition on our identities. Through highlighting the exploitation and dynamics of power inherent in our relationship, the project intends to challenge the entrenched hierarchies and definitions derived from anthropocentrism, and to inspire humans to see animals not as objects to be dominated or exploited, but as beings with their own intrinsic value and ways of experiencing the world.
